What You Need to Know
- Scattered severe storms are expected across most of Ohio this evening through early morning tomorrow.
- Strong wind gusts will reach 65-80 mph.
- Tornadoes are possible across the northern, central and eastern parts of the state.

OVERVIEW
Strong storms are expected to move across the state this evening and overnight, bringing the potential for damaging wind gusts up to 80 mph. There’s a chance of a few tornadoes in some areas. This weather could cause power outages. Storms are forecast to move from western Ohio into central and eastern parts of the state through the night. The storms are expected to weaken as they reach I-70, bringing heavy rain and possible flooding as they move south out of Ohio. Our teams are closely monitoring conditions, and more than 2,000 employees and contractors are ready to respond to any outages. We encourage customers to check the local forecast for updates on timing and intensity.

Assemble an Emergency Kit
Include non-perishable food, water, a flashlight, batteries, a battery-powered radio, a first aid kit, any necessary medications, fully charged portable chargers, blankets, extra cash and maps of your area.

AFTER THE STORM
Stay Safe
Keep as far away as possible from any fallen wire and anything it may be touching. If you see a fallen wire, do not approach and instead call 911 or AEP Ohio at 800-672-2231 immediately.
Be Alert
Carefully investigate your surroundings before cleaning up any storm debris. Tree limbs, leaves and other objects moved by the wind could hide downed wires.
